Despite

the Neopolitan mastiff is a peaceful, steady dog, sweet
and affectionate with its master and with friends of
the family. It is a very brave animal and will endure
physical pain stoically.

USES

In
the course of history, the Neopolitam mastiff and its
ancestors have been used in war, as fighting dogs in
the circus, as collaborators to criminals and aides
to the police as draft animals, companions and bodyguards.
Today, a trained mastiff makes excellent guard dog both
person and property.
