and for guarding. It is all together a dog of extraordinary
hunting capability in the mountains, in the woods, in
marshes, and in all climates. It is a somewhat rustic-looking
dog, and although it has an outstanding temperament.
It should not be considered an apartment dog. Nonetheless,
it can adapt itself to any situation so long as it has
adequate space for outdoor exercise when hunting season
is over.
